Privacy Policy
- We keep records of bans, reports and appeals so Discord communities can share moderation decisions. That's the whole point of the service.
- Ban records are kept permanently, including after an unban.
- Anyone can look up a Discord ID and see whether it has ban history. That part is public on purpose.
- We never see your password, email or DMs, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
What we hold
On a banned account: the Discord user ID, the username and avatar as they were at the time, the reason, category and evidence, who issued it, when, and which servers it reached. Plus anything added later — notes, appeals, and the reason for any unban.
On a report or ban request: what you wrote, the evidence you linked, the contact details you chose to give us, and your IP address (to stop the form being flooded).
On staff signing in: Discord tells us only your user ID, username and avatar — the
identify scope, nothing more. Each sign-in attempt is logged with the time and IP for
the audit trail.
On ordinary visitors: nothing. No analytics, no tracking cookies. A session cookie exists only after a staff sign-in.
What's public
The ban lookup shows the case number, the username recorded at the time, the category, the status and the date — and, if we've enabled it, the reason and evidence. Everything else is staff-only. We never reveal who reported someone.
Who else sees it
Servers in the network (cases post to their ban-log channels), Discord itself, our hosting provider, and anywhere the operator has pointed a webhook. Nobody else, and never for advertising.
How long we keep it
Ban records: indefinitely. This is deliberate — a network that forgets can be outwaited. Unbanning changes a case's status and records why; it doesn't erase the history. Reports, appeals and evidence are kept as long as the case they belong to.
Your rights
Email privacy@mrbridy.net to ask what we hold about you, or to have something corrected. Being straight with you: we'll usually decline to delete a ban record, because keeping it is the reason the service exists. What we will do is fix anything factually wrong, review the ban itself through the appeal process, and drop details we no longer need — like your contact details on a resolved report.
Security
Dashboard access needs a staff role in our main server; signing in alone grants nothing. Every staff action is logged against the person who took it. Uploaded evidence is stored under random filenames and can't be executed. No system is perfectly secure and we won't pretend otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. We're not affiliated with Discord — their privacy policy covers what they hold.
